Wide mouth vase in Ash

Crafted from Irish Ash sourced from my parent's farm. 
The distinctive dark heartwood of this type of ash gives it the name "brownheart" or "olive" ash. Moving the wood in the light shows the ripples in the grain across the finely finished surface. 
Turn from still fresh wood, this wide mouthed vase was allowed to warp and distort while drying.
